Have you ever found yourself standing in the garden wondering: "Where do I begin?"
|
It's a familiar predicament many gardeners face. At these times your vision for the garden may seem out of reach. This is the perfect time to consult with a Garden Coach. As your personal Garden Coach, I can teach you how to work with your garden, make good choices and avoid expensive mistakes. Whether you're new to gardening, need help designing a garden or renovating an established garden, coaching can help you make the right decisions. We will work from the ground up because a good healthy soil foundation is the basis for a beautiful healthy garden. You will learn to work with natural pest controls and to use practical and non-toxic methods. By working with an experienced gardener you will learn quickly and naturally.
|
As a first step I will ask you to fill out a garden survey. This helps me to be prepared to address your specific needs. With that information in hand, we will arrange for a site visit and garden walk-through. I'll be taking notes and probably some photos to have a detailed record of what you want to accomplish and my recommendations. I'll compile the information into Your Customized Garden Planner. This will help you stay on track to accomplish your goals.

Fees
This initial assessment may take one to one and half hours. The fee is $95. Garden Coaching is at an hourly rate of $50. Extended consultation fees can be arranged. Distance may be a consideration and may incur travel reimbursement.

About
As a resident of Ulster County, New York, I have 25 years experience gardening where the wildlife is plentiful and where I continue to learn peaceful co-existence. My garden has been featured on the Saugerties Secret Gardens Tour and gardening articles that I have written have been published in Hudson Valley Life magazine.
As a Master Gardener I am affiliated with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County. I am Coordinator of Garden Day, an annual CCE educational event for gardeners. And, I have lectured on many topics. During the summer months, you can find me volunteering at the Saugerties Farmers' Market giving good gardening advice.
